As a graduate of the National University of Singapore, Shawn received a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours, and was subsequently called to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in the year 2014.
Intellectual Property and Contentious Matters
Previously a practitioner in the areas of intellectual property prosecution, enforcement and commercialisation, Shawn has acted for clients ranging from tech start-ups and media artistes to F&B companies in various franchising, licensing, collaboration and distribution-related transactions. He has also advised on a variety of privacy, compliance and regulatory issues. Apart from intellectual property-related work, Shawn has previously represented clients in matrimonial and criminal proceedings, and also has experience handling contentious matters pertaining to a variety of areas such as employment, tenancy disputes, misrepresentation and breach of contract.
Prior to joining Tito Isaac & Co LLP, Shawn served as a Legal & Business Development Consultant with a tech start-up behind a food discovery platform, supporting the company’s legal needs as well as conceptualising and executing various businesses and marketing initiatives.
Notable Work & Accolades
Shawn was previously a gazetted volunteer Advice Lawyer with the Legal Aid Bureau, giving legal advice as a duty officer to walk-in legal aid applicants.
